DSA Motors
The DSA motor is a multistage, positive displacement tool which is normally operated on coiled tubing, small tubing strings or drill pipe. Our motors are specially designed to perform in demanding environments using fluids such as water, nitrogen, foam, or mud.
The rugged design and high torque capability makes the motor suitable for difficult milling, cutting, and underreaming jobs which were previously not possible with small diameter motors.
The DSA motor utilizes a patented double acting thrust bearing assembly which is sealed and oil filled.
- Motor types: Revolution (E-wall) & Heritage (conventional)
- After every job, the motors (bearing sections and power sections) are completely disassembled, blast cleaned, and fully inspected prior to reassembly. Worn components are replaced to assure each unit is in perfect condition prior to going out on another job.
Benefits:
- The design of the DSA bearing section allows bi-directional jarring without causing damage.
- Its new unique shock sub effect of the lower output shaft extends bit life, increases rate of penetration, and reduces wear on other BHA components.
- Available motor sizes are: 1 ½”, 1 11/16”, 2 1/8”, 2 7/8” & 3 1/8”
- DSA’s 1 ½” motor is the most powerful in the industry boasting 75 ft-lbs of operating torque compared to the standard of 25 ft-lbs.
